Sure the pricing is aggressive on the high end, but no more so than what we are seeing with other new crossovers. I just worry about how closely its been slotted to the Traverse. Only real reason for going with the Blazer is if you prefer the new styling.
You're not giving it enough credit. Aside from anything with a V8, the Blazer is the first time we're seeing yet another sporty SUV/Crossover from GM.

I doubt that anyone would be cross shopping BMW's and Acura's with the Blazer, even if they are similar in price in top spec. I agree that most people will probably just lease, as cars are being swapped out every few years now.
At best from Chevrolet i've seen cross shopping happening with the Tahoe but its a classic formula you can't find anywhere else (unlike the Blazer)

Nothing wrong with staying within a brand that has served you well in the past. Chevy would be wise to offer some kind of incentives to newcomers to make the transition less daunting.
I just don't think its the right move to make when so many new models are coming out.
Ford has the edge overall in a more developed performance division but GM is showing they're willing to put up a fight (Bison)
