whats not helping is the fact the last time we seen a Blazer, it was a long time ago, due to that big gap in years they are almost free to take what ever direction they want. Could be a case of a Blazer that redefines what a Blazer is or just lives up to what we had, so far it seems like the former.

that's what I just said lol

it wouldn't be the first time an american car maker did it but hopefully this time around Chevy won't have something that disappoints. The dodge dart disappointed big time, let that be a lesson for chevy

Dodge Dart was a disappointment, the Charger was also a disappointment in my books. Now apparently the Barracuda is in the pipeline but considering it'll be built off of the Challenger (which they got kind of right) it should be okay.

Chevy did pretty decently with the Camaro but that was something that's been on the roads forever so not really the best comparison.
Still easy to mess up a product and if they didn't go Alpha platform now, that could spell disaster down the road for it vs the competition especially when rivals are getting more competitive.

It would keep the Camaro stagnated, falling behind the competition and not keeping up with the times. Going for a light, nimble, and sportier platform was the right move and will always be the right move going forward. Most importantly they didn't take away any important Camaro characteristics.

Zeta would only work if GM wanted to build a large GT coupe and they're not at a stage where that's a good idea, they need more volume products before those more special models come around. A model like the Camaro will always be up for going light and faster.

I'm kind of hoping they bring out more cars in the performance muscle division. Dodge is going to be bringing out the Barracuda (I think), and it would be pretty cool if Chevy brought back something else too like the Chevelle or the Nova.
Well the new Camaro already is heading that way, ZL1 1LE is a clear indication of that which could eventually mean a supersedan for the future. Always thought the SS was a way to gauge the American public. Response was good... now we need another ZETA-like platform for a ZL1 1LE sedan :D

I guess they might need to just come up with one high volume performance sedan just like what Dodge did. Chevrolet already has the Impala and Malibu, do they really need both? Charger is a good example of a one size fits all sporty sedan.

The Charger is amazing. You can buy one that's a base, you can get an AWD model, you could buy a power house with a darn 6.4L in it. That thing is amazing, there's one for everyone lol.
Sure is, Charger and Challenger have attracted a lot of people, looking at who drives them i've seen everyone from girls on college campuses, someone looking for a fun straight line toy and even the elderly that wants something closer to what they had in their younger days.

Sure does with them but everyone really, people love products and things with some historical value which is what these classics have going on. Same thing goes with certain types of designs regardless of what industry it is.

Not a problem since this is GM and unlike other car makers we have some great options, unless someone is willing to look elsewhere. Ford is as great option, but on a community like this there's typically some level of brand loyalty. What GM alternative would you go for?

That i won't mind even if I bought used because so many of them are being used as Uber SUV's and Limo's so the market is flush with these and when that happens so are parts for them. Might not be able to say the same about the future Blazer.
