Chevy Blazer AWD system

Trying to determine if opting for the AWD version of the Blazer is worth the money. The least expensive version of the Blazer with AWD starts at $37,195, which is about 5 grand more than a Murano or Edge with AWD. The cost to add this varies based on trim level too. It appears that the RS and Premier get a more sophisticated version of AWD that comes with a twin-clutch rear differential and the ability to shift torque between the rear wheels. The more basic setup can disconnect power to the rear wheels to help save on gas.

Have never been a fan of the styling on the Murano, even with the latest updates. AWD isn't all that necessary imo, unless you are in a state that gets really inclement weather. Even then a proper tire setup can usually provide the traction you need under most circumstances.
